Our client is a leading manufacturer of Food and Drink products in the Cornwall area. Currently we are seeking an experience FD / Head of Finance to take control of all financial and budgeting aspects in a rapidly growing family owned business.

Salary * £65,000 - £75,000 * Permanent

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Advising the Company Board on all financial matters;
- Production of statutory accounts including liaison with auditors;
- Production of monthly board reports including management accounts;
- Production of budgets/forecasts as required;
- Maintaining relationships with bankers / VC, ensuring that all information required by them is submitted in a timely manner;
- Manage the finance department, currently made up of a Financial Controller and Purchase Ledger Clerk. A particular emphasis will be required as regards credit and cash control. The Finance Director acts as the Company Secretary.
- Ensuring that the company has appropriate internal controls and financial systems;
- Reviewing and approving contracts received from customers and ensuring appropriate credit facilities are in place.
- Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant tax and other legislation/regulations;
- Overseeing the implementation of an ERP system to streamline and integrate the core functions/processes of the business giving the ability to report on profit by individual projects/contracts;
- Lead in identifying new grant / fund opportunities for the company.

Successful candidates will ideally have a minimum of five years post qualification experience, in industry, with an established company either in manufacturing or FMCG. Ideally DRINKS.

The Successful Applicant

- Able to contribute at board level.
- Extensive systems experience (Sage Manufacturing would be desirable).
- Track record in staff / appraisal management.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing / FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrable 3-5 years strategic planning experience.
