IT Service Transition Manager

£50,000 - £55,000 + car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare

To work as part of the Service Design and Transition team and manage the transition of new services with Service Principles and KPI's in mind.

As Service Transition Manager your responsibility will be to manage the transition of new services into the live operational environment in a controlled and risk-assessed manner, minimising disruption to Service operation.
To seek and drive efficiency improvements. Continually improving the key service transition processes.
Promote a culture of knowledge sharing across domains and oversee initiatives to proactively support sharing of best practices among the technology, business and company-wide leadership teams
Engaging with the wider IT team to promote the benefits of Service Design & Transition, and working collaboratively.

Experience and skills needed are as follows;

Experience of working in a challenging environment where tact, diplomacy, excellent relationship management and communication skills are critical to positively influence relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Understanding of ITIL processes, Foundation Level as a minimum
Previous experience of liaising with, and mediating between, numerous senior stakeholders.
Good project management skills. Ability to plan, organise, and direct teams in line with changing priorities.
Ability to raise risks and issues in a timely manner to the right people at the right time

Degree level or equivalent desirable
Experience in managing deliverable via 3rd party vendors in a high profile and/or technically innovative enterprise solution
Ability to influence key stakeholders as well as wider teams and peers
Good understanding in Service Delivery and infrastructure management
Good understanding of software delivery lifecycle and release management

The following qualifications would be advantageous;

*Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Management, or a related field.
*ITIL v3 Certified in Service Transition (Intermediate Qualification)
*ITIL v2 or V3 Foundation certificate
