Duties and responsibilities within the role:

Responsible for selling a range Product Certification services to new and existing B2B customers,

End to end sales activity

Conducting face to face client meetings and formal presentations where required

Building an in-depth understanding of client business needs and drivers as well as being able to understand the impacts of applicable regulations including British and European technical standards.

The role will include prospect identification, cold calling, initial deal closing, and account development

Identifying and managing Product Certification sales opportunities,

Building and developing existing customer relationships to increase loyalty and improve customer retention. Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional services.

Working closely with Sales Team Leader (sales performance reviews, personal performance reviews, target setting), and Finance (e.g. regarding debt collection)

Negotiation of prices and service levels (to agreed limits)

Representation at exhibitions and events

Producing weekly reports outlining performance against targets.

Produce and follow up quotes for both existing customers as well as new prospects developed as part of this role.

Provide feedback on the existing sales strategy and suggest possible inclusions or improvements. As part of the role you will be expected to meet the agreed financial and activity sales targets.

Using the companies CRM to accurately record all required information

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a B2B sales person who continues to achieve against target, you will need a minimum of 2 years experience, be organised, personable and able to manage several competing demands, as well as having excellent sales skills and the ability to understand the impacts of applicable regulations including British and European technical standards.

This role is fast paced and will require you to work with both incoming leads, as well as conducting outbound calls and meetings as a result of leads that you have generated.

The role will also require you to generate additional business from existing accounts. The applicant must be professional, articulate, and comfortable working with clients on the telephone and in-person. Previous construction industry experience is a plus but not required. Previous experience with a CRM system is also preferred.
