An award-winning Engineering Consultancy currently have an opening for a Civil Design Engineer in their Infrastructure team Oxfordshire. Working with clients in the public and private sectors, the team typically provide services ranging from site appraisals / feasibility studies and flood risk assessments, to the detailed design of roads and drainage systems for new developments.

Over the past 40 years the company have built an impressive reputation amongst their clients for delivering high quality engineering solutions, and are now looking to hire a talented and committed Civil Engineer that will play a significant role in the delivery of engineering projects. Please note our client is fully supportive of helping their Engineers achieve Chartership with the ICE.

Duties / Responsibilities

Prepare outline and detailed designs of road and drainage infrastructure, junction alterations and new services.
Produce technical and pre-planning reports on flood risk, drainage, utilities and geo-environmental issues.
Take a global view of infrastructure issues for new developments and advise clients accordingly.

Skills / Experience

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng)
Experience of civil engineering design in consultancy environment
Ability to operate industry standard design software packages such as MicroDrainage
Experience in the use of AutoCAD for drafting design solutions
Experience of dealing with adoption agreements for roads and drainage (S38/104/278)
Good commercial awareness
Confident communicator when dealing with clients and other team members
