Role Overview

Sopra Steria is currently recruiting Application Support Team Lead for a unique opportunity to work in collaboration with our project team. The successful candidate will be managing a team of 6 support staff working on 2nd line application support.


- Manage the team of support staff ensuring quality of service is provided
- Monitor and ensure continued operation of the Service Desk within strict SLA
- Co-ordinate all parties during major problems and outages as follows: ensure customers are updated, ensure that appropriate resources are targeted towards the problem, and ensure resolutions are found in order to stop reoccurrence
- Produce online daily reports highlighting points for attention or escalation
- Represent Operations in meeting and problem reviews
- Ensure all documentation and procedures are: Up to date and adhered to at all times, Conform to the correct standards, Relevant and understood by all operations staff
- Monitor all call flow indicators
- Log details of all incidents and problems utilising standard reporting methods
- Answer incoming calls taking necessary details and ensuring the call is dealt with
- Use supplied checklists and ensures that problems highlighted are followed up
- Recommend areas where improvements to any aspect of the operation could be made


- Team leading experience
- Excellent Communication skills


- Application experience
- ITIL foundation certification
- Public Sector experience

The successful candidates must be willing to undergo a clearance process.
