My end - user client based in Brentford is currently looking for an Application Support Analyst. My client is looking for someone with either BizTalk or Dynamics AX experience.

Business Area Responsibilities:
*Updating and producing service specifications for any allocated services.
*Responsible for keeping the business owners informed about any allocated service.
*Responsible for ensuring services perform to metrics defined with the Service Level Agreement.
*Work with the developer(s) to maximize the performance and robustness of the underlying applications.
*Work with the database administrator(s) to maximize the performance and robustness of the underlying databases.
*Work with the network team to maximize the underlying performance and robustness of the hardware and network topology.
*Promote and implement a Service Quality/Service Excellence ethos.
*Ensure IT Implementation Checklists are created for all software releases. Ensure changes are promoted to the production environment.

Principal Tasks:
*To provide 2nd and 3rd line support for all supports calls.
*Liaise with team members and external suppliers to identify resolutions to outstanding calls that are not resolved and escalate where necessary.
*Perform Service Lead role for allocated services.
*Support the transition of 2nd and 3rd line support function from the IT Delivery to IT Operations & Infrastructure.
*Maintain all support documentation, in a clear and detailed manner.
*To run daily system health checks.
*To provide ideas, plan and support the implementation of process improvements to ensure greater effectiveness of the support team.
*Implements change control processes for production deployments and releases.
*Ensuring all deployments and releases run through effective quality assurance testing.
*Maintain Production and QA environments to a high standard ensuring the integrity of these environments is maintained through accurate version control.
*A level of hands on development will be required.

Knowledge/ Experience:
*Proven software support experience.
*Experience in Microsoft technologies BizTalk and Dynamics AX favourable
*Experience in IIS and Tomcat
*Experience in supporting payment processing platforms
*Experience of working with any Content Management Systems
*Knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPATH and XSD
*Knowledge of database technologies including T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS, Knowledge of Oracle and Sybase
*Knowledge of any scripting language e.g. Powershell etc.
*Knowledge of *******, C# language and OOP principles
*Experience of ITIL standards
