Our client has an opportunity for a self-motivated and organised individual with experience of working with young people (aged 8 - 25 years) and their families to help develop, deliver and monitor a range of interventions within the neighbourhood in Calderdale / Wakefield. You will ensure that personal development and projects are available and will work with communities to ensure safe and effective activities for young people. Confident and approachable, you will develop positive relationships with key agencies including schools, police, Youth Justice Service, Neighbourhood Officers and work together to deliver a multi-disciplinary approach to meet the needs of the area. Supporting young people and their families, you will help them to develop confidence and overcome barriers and encourage them to participate in targeted interventions at times to suit their needs. You will be an organised professional, successfully managing a variety of caseloads and providing reports when requested.

To be successful in this role, you will be accustomed to developing positive working relationships with young people, retaining their engagement and help them to raise their aspirations to reach their full potential. You will have experience of developing and delivering needs led interventions for young people and their families, whilst networking and maintaining contact with local partners and services. Having gained experience of working with young people, you will demonstrate a good understanding of the pressures they face and will be a positive influence in their decisions. You will be able to juggle a variety of duties simultaneously and be adaptable to the sudden changes in priorities. Due to the nature of the role, you must be flexible to work weekends and evening and must have a full UK driving licence.
