My Client is seeking an experienced Peripatetic Manager to support the Registered/ Home Managers (Managers) across South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire regions in all aspects in the day-to-day running of care homes.

As Peripatetic Manager you will have a background in managing and turning around care homes and multi site experience.

Due to the regional remit of the role it is also important that applicants live close to the regions

You will be responsible for promoting a caring environment which provides residents with a high standard of specialised personal care, ensuring that we are meeting individual needs and ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity and rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.

To apply you will need to demonstrate the following -

- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Manager. (preferably within care of older people)
- Turnaround and Troubleshooting experience
- Control and management of budgets and accounts
- Knowledge of the principles in sales and marketing
- Skilled in the recruitment, selection and retention of staff
- Committed to a structured approach to training and development of staff
- Understanding of the Care Standards Act and Health & Safety legislation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Professional, confident and warm personality
- Have a caring disposition
- Leadership qualities, enthusiasm along with influencing and motivational skills
- Willing and able to provide an out of hours 'on call' service
- Willing to cover for absent Managers.
- To be a critical thinker and possess problem solving skill

Key Responsibilities

- You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
- To oversee Quality Assurance within the Homes.
- To support the Manager to manage the day-to-day running of all aspects of the home including; the standards and quality of care, recruitment and training issues, communication with the team, the premises and financial matters.
- To oversee that individuals' needs are being met, and that relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed are informed, in order to formulate personalised care plans for each individual.
- To oversee that we are providing the highest level of personal care and attention to residents following individual care plans carefully and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
- Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
- To support the Manager to monitor the effective running of the home ensuring all legislation and regulations concerning environmental health, infection control, building control, planning and health and safety are met and all risk assessments are regularly carried out
- To oversee that all legal and statutory records, displayed records concerning the home; insurance certificates, registration documents.
- Assisting and supporting the Manager to investigate any complaints, compile reports and take any appropriate action if required.
- To be an active and encouraging Peripatetic Manager, establishing and maintaining effective means of communication and good relationships with Managers, employees in the home along with others externally such as professionals in the caring environment, outside suppliers, agencies.
- To oversee the staffing requirements are met, to ensure the recruitment of suitable employees for the team working in the home, To review that effective inductions and CIS standards take place, the training needs for all the team are identified and met.
- To carry out one to one meetings with the Manager and to keep the Regional Operations Manager informed of any concerns.
- To carry out investigation meetings, disciplinary interviews and grievance meetings, in line with Orchards Policy and procedures, compiling a summary of your findings.
- To give verbal feedback to the Manager following a visit, compile visit reports and action plans.
