Brief Outline:

Project Manager - Commercial Catering Contractor - £35k to £40k - London. Leading Commercial Catering Contractor seeking to enhance their team with an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager will manage the Project from handover from the Account Manager, to handover to the customer including Nursing Period. Auto Cad knowledge is essential as you will be liaising with designers and making adjustments when required. This position will ideally suit someone who is a couple of years within project management and looking to take the next step in their career.

Established for over 30 years this leading Commercial Catering Company require a Project Manager to join their team. Currently turning over £16M they have a reputable name in the Commercial Catering world with large restaurant chains and care homes. Projects are nationwide so you must be willing to travel. My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager in and around London.

About the Role:

* Operational Excellence
* Meet with Account manager to receive ordered Project and specific customer brief.
* Check quotation and drawing are correct, sign and date.
* Complete Project manager section of the Grid and issue Grid to Project Admin Team Manager.
* Highlight any lead time implications on the project to Project Administration Team.
* Liaise with Customer, Main Contractor, Architect and QS (external customers) and internal staff as necessary, attend site meetings as required.
* Communicate and advise training date to Commercial Services and Project Admin team.
* Check services on site as necessary.
* Check site dimensions as necessary.
* Approval of fabrication drawings, sign and date.
* Liaison with sub-contractors - delivery dates, approval of drawings, manufacturing time for cold-rooms, extraction, installers etc....
* Provide and confirm by email good and clear communication with the team on changes to the Project.
* Weekly checks on status of projects on the UEO.
* Complete regular site visits and communicate with Main Contractor to ascertain Project is on schedule for delivery and install dates.
* Complete installation planner for internal and external team.
* Attend delivery day to confirm all equipment is delivered to site undamaged and complete.
* Handover of Project with Account manager and check final sales acknowledgement includes all changes to the Project and costs to be charged on to the customer are completed.
* Complete handover and obtain commissioning sheets are all completed and signed.
* Obtain additional asset tags as required and note serial numbers of direct to site equipment, advise Projects Admin Team of Serial numbers of equipment on site delivered direct.
* Any snags found on handover are to be completed by the Projects Manager as efficiently and quickly as possible, the Contracts manager is responsible to check that all the snags have been completed.
* Complete 2 week nursing period, take service calls for the 2 weeks after handover, contact site after 7 days of handover to confirm no issues and again before the 14 day period.
* In the event of any extras required by the customer the Account Manager will confirm these with the customer and gain approval of costs. The project manager will need to complete the extras required and confirm dates for completion
* Commercial evaluation with Account Manager and Projects Administration Team member for Project.
* Delivery of Projects on time and snag free.
* Attend delivery day to confirm all equipment is delivered to site undamaged and complete

About the Candidate:

* Professional Qualifications in Projects Management or operational management
* IT literate
* Capable of operating at board level and dealing with senior stakeholders
* Commercially numerate and astute
* Proven proactive approach to driving profit through agreed margins
* Good working knowledge of the equipment industry as well as food service and care
* Excellent presentation skills - written & verbal
* Track record in delivering projects on time and on budget
* Detailed knowledge of all elements of Catering Equipment Industry
