REED Engineering are working with a leading Sheffield based organisation seeking an Assets Manager to lead a housing investment programme and a team of 70 staff.

This will be a temporary assignment lasting a minimum of 4 months - however this may be extended.

The initial focus of this role will be to develop an Asset Management and Repairs Strategy, progressing throughout the programme to implement change across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

- To lead and develop high quality property and non-property asset management plans.

- Develop and maintain a co-ordinated approach to service delivery, working closely with the Neighbourhood Management Teams to ensure that asset management plans and strategies effectively meet the needs of local neighbourhoods and communities.

- Prepare, monitor and control budgets whilst making a meaningful contribution to the business planning process.

- Ensure that appropriate technical standards, specifications, contracts and advice are delivered the the oranisatino and customers effectively.

- Lead on the development of strategies with regards to demolition, acquisition and disposal projects - management of stock reduction work.


- Proven achievements in a related field in a large, complex organisation delivering operational Housing servcies.

- Experience in housing maintenance and a minimum of 5 years team management experience.

- 5 years financial management experience.

- Experience of project management.

The hourly pay rate for this role will be negotiable based on experience and expertise.
