I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established, local IFA who seek an experienced EB Administrator to cover for maternity.

The client is looking for someone with a strong background in employee benefits administration and who has experience of group pensions as well as the associated group risk product range.

Job Summary

- Reporting to Employee Benefits Head of Department as acting Employee Benefits Team Leader in their absence.
- Responsible for the day to day running of employee benefits schemes, including the processing of leavers, retirals, claims and renewals whilst also liaising with the senior executives within client firms.
- In daily contact with the scheme membership dealing with all enquiries and acting as the main point of contact for corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- Responsible for administering employee benefits programs for our corporate clients, such as medical, dental, life and disability insurance plans and assisting the Head of Department with auto enrolment administration. - Processing new business from submission through to completion
- Chasing outstanding documentation
- Obtaining new pension & group risk quotes
- Administering auto enrolment schemes for existing corporate clients
- Dealing with any claims on risk schemes
- Sending letters of authority and ensuring all paperwork is received back
- Requesting information from scheme contracts for renewals
- Collating member date and quote results for Head of Department to compile recommendations
- Ensuring adherence to compliance procedures at all times

- Client liaison with employers, scheme members and payroll with regard to Employee Benefit opportunities, whilst continuing to build rapport and gain an understanding of their individual needs. Striving to develop pro-active relationships.
- Assisting Head of Department in the design and preparation of employee benefit schemes looking to offer flexible arrangements to clients, within their HR requirements and budget arrangements.
- Providing an employee benefits helpline for employers and employees to guide companies and ensure a friendly and informative employee benefits service.


- Excellent understanding of the employee benefits industry gained through experience within an employee benefit consultancy/IFA.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to draft recommendations for senior management and explain benefits packages to employees.
- Practical understanding of all pension legislation and regulations and day-to-day operation of all types of benefit arrangements.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Online provider portals and websites.
- Strong team player.
