Our client is an independent local charity improving children & young people's mental and emotional health since 1963. They are contracted by the local authority and health services to deliver targeted, preventative and early intervention services across Kirklees.

As the charity continues to develop and with exciting new projects starting, new funding has been secured and they have identified funds to create a post for a Senior Practitioner to join their team.

Position Summary
The Senior Practitioner role involves;
* Considering and assessing emotional and mental health needs of children and young people
* Providing telephone support and enabling access to other services
* Working directly with young people and their families to enable young people to improve their mental and emotional health
* You will be confident in providing support, advice, enabling reflection and practice development in others, including reviewing cases with colleagues

Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role, including;
* Relevant degree and/or a professional qualification within children's mental and emotional health is essential
* Considerable experience of supporting children and families experiencing mental and emotional health difficulties
* Strong understanding of the factors impacting on children's mental and emotional wellbeing and the support and interventions that can maintain and improve it
