Specification/Projects Specialist

£35k - £45k dependant on experience, plus generous bonus, company car, mobile phone, laptop, contribution to private pension and healthcare.

The Role

Driving the generation of Project Pipelines for the field sales teams through the creation of Specifications via Midlands based Architectural Practices.

Build and maintain a strong relationship with contractors ensuring that commercial projects are won via value engineering and ensure Specifications remain in place with nominated contractors.

Championing specification for the company's products to be named as the preferred choice of product on building specifications.

Creating the want /need /demand for products and understanding of the company's added-value product offering.

Arrange and deliver CPD presentations using the RIBA approved Company CPDs at RIBA registered Architects Practices around London.

Manage and drive the Specification campaign via networking throughout National Architects Practice Head-Offices.

Tracking and converting specifications through to order via approved installers.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

Provide technical back up to customers; architects, house builders and contractors.

Gather Market information and feedback to the business as and when requested.

Contributing to the strategic development of the overall business as a key member of the sales team.

The Candidate

The successful candidate is likely to possess a good understanding of the project pipeline selling process with a proven track record of specification generation and conversion with added-value given to construction products.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate strong commercial sales competence, from identifying opportunities to positive closing techniques.

Able to identify opportunities to maximise product sales across multiple sectors and applications.

Evidence of creating plans to further penetrate the key account networks and identify new tools to assist in the promotion of the company and its solutions.

You will possess an open communication style; friendly, conscientious and committed above all you will be a team player.

Naturally persuasive, creative and self-motivated, able to recognise opportunities and use your own initiative to convert these into sales. Excellent communication and presentation skills are important together with strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.

You will be at the top of your game with a minimum of 3 years successful specification sales experience within the construction market. Ideally developing relationships with major architects and specifiers.
