  These terms and conditions should be viewed in conjunction with the Johnston Press Terms of Access to the Website at www.jptalk.co.uk/termsandconditions.aspx
  
  ‘Jobs Today’ and ‘CV Match’ are part of the Johnston Press Group plc. Johnston Press is committed to protecting your personal data and you should read these terms and conditions carefully as they explain what personal information will be collected from you, how it is stored and what it will be used for.
  
  
• Information submitted by you
  In signing up for our free CV Match service you will be required to register with the site and supply personal data used in both the registration process and the construction of your on-line CV.
  
  In addition to this CV Match necessitates the use of ‘cookies’ however these do not collect personal information about the user and are used only to assist with the running of the service and will not harm your computer in any way. Information on deleting or controlling cookies is available at www.AboutCookies.org. Please note that by deleting our cookies or disabling future cookies you may not be able to access certain areas or features of this site.
  
  
• Indemnity
  You understand that you are personally responsible for your behaviour while on the CV Match site, and agree to indemnify and hold CV Match and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from and against any loss, damage, liability, cost or expense of any kind (including legal fees and costs) that we may incur in connection with a third party claim or otherwise, in relation to your use of the CV Match services, access to the CVMatch.net site, your violation of either these Terms or the rights of any third party, disclosure of membership passwords and any other matter in connection with your participation in the services on the site.
  
  You agree to use the CV Match service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the site. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distresses or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content.
  
  We can terminate your access to CV Match at any time. We may also remove any content that you post without cause and without notice to you. This includes all materials related to your use of the CV Match service including, postings, profiles or other personalised information you have created while on the site.
  
  
• How is the information stored and accessed?
  All data are stored on high security servers in a secure environment with all personal information password protected.
  
  Any recruiter who has subscribed to access the CV Match database can only access the CVs with a confidential PIN number which is issued by the JobsToday team. The recruiter is bound by contract to keep the PIN number confidential and to not disclose it to any other person or allow any other person to use the CV Match service by making use of that PIN number.
  
  
• What is the information used for?
  All personal data submitted, this includes all personal data used in the construction of the on-line CV, will be used for matching your job requirements to the appropriate agency/employer, to provide you with our goods and services, for administration and customer services, for marketing and to ensure that the content and services of CV Match are tailored to your needs and interests. By providing us with your fax number, land line and/or mobile telephone numbers or email address you consent to being contacted by these methods for these purposes. If you do wish to receive marketing information from us or from our business partners please tick the appropriate box on the registration form.
  
  Please note that if you provide us with information about another person, i.e. details of a referee, you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them, to consent to the processing of their personal data and that you have informed them of our identity and the purposes (as set out above) for which their personal data will be processed.
  
  At the registration stage you are notified that by uploading your CV you are consenting to CV Match making your CV available to a select group of recruiters who have subscribed to directly access our CV database. These recruiters will contact you directly by any contact method they choose. This includes by email and mobile telephone if you have provided these details. If you do not want to have your CV included in this service and to be contacted directly by selected recruiters then do not upload your CV. Recruiters who have not subscribed to use this service will contact you through the CV Match service and you will receive an email from CV Match notifying you that a potential employer is interested in contacting you.
  
  Should you wish to cease to use the CV Match service you can either follow the unsubscribe options in the email you receive from CV Match or contact the Johnston Press New Media Coordinator at jpnm.coordinator@jpress.co.uk.
  
  
• Security and Passwords
  By registering you will have submitted a user name and password. You are solely responsible for the security and correct use of your password; this should be kept confidential at all times and not disclosed to any other person. If you suspect it has become known to another third party you must notify us immediately at jpnm.coordinator@jpress.co.uk. We accept no liability for any unauthorised or improper use or disclosure of any password.
