Tissue Viability – Wound Bed Preparation

The Wound Assessment Training course is for staff currently working within the health care sector. Candidates will benefit from having knowledge of wound assessment and an understanding of causes, stages, treatment and risk factors associated with a service user with a wound.

Learning Outcomes: This course will cover the following topics; Introduction to wound assessment, Definition of a wound, Wound Management, Composition of the skin and its functions, Wounds Assessments, Stages of ulcers, Treatment of wounds, Deep tissue injuries, Risk factors, Healing Document and Record Keeping.
