About the course
The EDI Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Advice and Guidance is aimed at those who work directly with clients, providing advice, disseminating information and giving some guidance. They will be working within clear guidelines dealing with information that often needs to be adapted and interpreted for the client.
On completing the qualifications required on this course the total number of credits, which a student will attain on the Qualifications, and Credit Framework (QCF) will be 21 for Competence, Total 21. The minimum expected duration of programme is 6 months from August 2012 for those aged under 19. For those aged 19 or over, the minimum expected duration of programme is 4 to 5 months from August 2012 unless accredited or Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) against any part of the course exists, then the minimum duration for those aged 19+ may become 3 months.
Entry requirements for this qualification in addition to the framework entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this pathway in addition to the general framework entry requirements. (May be required to hold an enhanced DBS)
Certificate in Information, Advice & Guidance (QCF) Portfolio (Competence)
4 Mandatory units = 12 credits
Remaining Optional units X 17 will make up the remaining 9 credits.
Students can opt to take additional units at an additional cost.
PLTS (Personal Learning and Thinking Skills)
Average length of course is 4 to 6 months.
Advanced Level 4 Diploma in Advice and Guidance
