About the course
This course is all about how to franchise your business and expand your brand nationally across your country / territory. There are many business owners out there who wish to expand, and this course looks at franchising as the vehicle to make this happen.
Your course tutor has franchised a business, and so is speaking from experience as she takes you through the pitfalls, what to look out for, what to do, and what not to do. You can spend thousands of pounds on franchise consultants, or you can learn some of this stuff for a fraction of the cost, and make it happen. A 'consultant' cannot fool you when you already know something about the subject material.
Materials included include a sample franchise contract and the book 'How To Franchise Your Business' - hardcopy available on Amazon, but e-book is complimentary to the course, confidentiality agreements, example prospectus, template contents page for writing your manual and initial application form.
The course will take approx 3-4 hours to complete. It's structured around the different steps to take, and factors to take into consideration when assessing whether your business is suitable for franchising, who an ideal franchisee is, what you need to be in order to be ready, the ongoing relationship (franchisee/franchisor), the contract, making the money add up and the alternative to franchising.
We also look at the operations manual - how to write it, what it should cover and how to do it. We also look at marketing the franchise, selecting your franchisees, finding the right people and the structure of your franchised business. This will certainly give you things to think about, and we cover the benefits of franchising.
There are a host of franchises out there - food services, cleaning services, dog walking - you name it, and it's most likely been franchised. If you have a successful business, and the model can be replicated elsewhere - think about franchising it and helping others make their dream of business-ownership come true, as well as expand your brand and reach at the same time.
