An opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Support Technician to join the Hull site. The role is a 29 hour per week role working alternative morning and afternoon shifts, and includes 10 rostered weekends across the year along with 2 weekends per month worked overtime. The role entails the cleaning of glassware and general cleaning duties in support of the QC, Technical Engineering and Research & Development departments ensuring full support is given to the Analysts / Chemists on site.
A good basic level of education in numeracy and literacy is required to perform this role. You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent at grade C or above in Chemistry and you must be computer literate. Previous experience gained in an industrial lab / school lab support environment working with chemicals would be an advantage but is not essential. Knowledge of COSHH or Safety experience is desirable to help you understand the nature of use of chemicals in the role.
