JOB TITLE: PA to the Chief Executive 

LOCATION: Haddenham, Oxfordshire

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary

WORKING HOURS: Full time during business hours 

THE COMPANY: Our client is a young, unique and dynamic charity bringing support and fresh hope to the multiple sclerosis community in the UK and beyond. They provide a progressive evidence-based approach to the management of symptoms and tangible support to those diagnosed with this condition. We are now seeking a PA to support a busy Chief Executive who is tasked with growing the organisation based in Haddenham, Oxfordshire. 

THE ROLE: The role will require adaptability and a wiliness to take on a wide variety of tasks, together with a passion for people and success this would be an attractive combination. You will have first-rate computer skills, particularly in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and the web.

Key Responsibilities for the PA to the Chief Executive role in Haddenham, Oxfordshire:

First Point of Contact – You will be the first point of contact for anyone wishing to see the CEO. The ability to filter emails/phone calls/mail, greet guests and communicate with a broad range of people to arrange management time most appropriately

Scheduling – Manage the CEOs electronic diary; scheduling meetings/appointments for both internal and external attendees, many in different time zones. Assisting CEO to keep on top of deadlines

Secretarial – Typing up notes, creating presentations, answering email, keeping management files organised, running professional errands to keep management on task

Meeting Preparation – Prepare paperwork for meetings, including circulating agendas. Take minutes and circulate electronic copies in a timely fashion. When required, carry out research or investigation in preparation

Travel/Meeting Arrangements – Arrange offsite meetings rooms, or travel arrangements for CEO, including transport, accommodation, tickets and/or introductions

Communications – dealing with a wide range of email requests for information and support from around the world.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to be a top-level PA, a team player with a positive attitude and a well-developed set of skills and a proven track record. Your key personal qualities will be energy and enthusiasm, empathy and the ability to communicate well with everyone both in writing and verbally. An interest in people, nutrition and healthy lifestyles would be a distinct advantage. Essential criteria for the PA to the Chief Executive role in Haddenham, Oxfordshire

Ideally 3 years’ experience as a top level PA

Strong communication skills, clear, concise, tactful and helpful, with empathy and care. In writing, by phone and in person

The ability to write and convey support and share information by email 

Strong administration skills. Very proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Gmail, Visio (or similar) and the web?

Self- starter with the ability to work independently

Initiative & Problem Solving – ability to foresee and avert difficulties and act on one’s own initiative on day-to-day responsibilities

Interest in health, wellness and/or multiple sclerosis
