A large multi-national corporation is seeking a CAD Technician to join their team on a permanent basis in Exeter. Working within the water sector, the client are looking for an individual to work on a number of diverse and notable water projects. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic CAD Technician to join a motivated team and support the delivery of work within the water sector on a diverse base of projects. You will be undertaking a number of roles and responsibilities which will include: Prepare conceptual and detailed working drawings, as required by the Framework Manager, in accordance with the Project Quality Plan. Deliver technically correct outputs using CAD. Assist with document control and general coordination/management of the design team. Be able to work to specific client drawing standards. Have a good understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Manage own time in order to deliver to programme. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Liaise with project teams to ensure continuity of workload and robust coordination. In order to ensure the successful delivery of projects, it is essential for candidates to have the following skills, experience and attributes: ONC / HNC in Civil Engineering or relevant experience. City & Guilds in AutoCAD 2D/3D Level 2/3 or similar qualification. Experience of working in the Waste and Clean Water sectors. Have a good understanding of all relevant Standards and Codes of Practice relevant to the Water sector. Experience of document control. Experience with MS Office. Desirable.
