Our client is a local charity providing specialist palliative and end of life care and support to patients and their family and friends. Since opening their doors to their first patient in January 1987, they have cared for over 14,000 local people and at any one time they care for over 230 people in the local community. All services are provided free of charge, they are not a part of the NHS and rely on public support to raise 87% of their £6.7 million annual running costs.

This is an exciting time to join our client as they move towards opening a new 18 bed Hospice in Bosham in 2019.

They are looking for a new member to join the highly regarded Education Team. A wide range of education and training programmes are delivered by the team, including degree level courses approved by the University of Greenwich.

Lecturer
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Salary: Band 7 Point 31
Contract: Permanent 22.5 hours per week

The successful applicant will develop study days, modules (credit-rated degree level courses) and the Clinical Updates programme for delivery both to the hospice employees and external candidates assisting in evidence based teaching on palliative and end of life care

To join the team as a Lecturer, you will be a Registered Nurse or Allied Healthcare Professional with a recognised teaching qualification (working towards or willingness to study) or significant experience and a Master’s degree or first level degree in a relevant subject.
