The organisation

This international membership organisation promotes and advances civil engineering around the world. This is a qualifying body, a centre for the exchange of specialist knowledge, and a provider of resources to encourage innovation and excellence in the profession worldwide.

Main duties will involve:
- Event management and meeting administration
- Handling of enquiries as the first point of contact for the region
- Provision of management and coordination support for the Regional Support Team
- Administrative support to regional Membership activity
- Provision of financial administrative support for the Region
- Membership database management
- Other administrative duties will be involved as standard.

What are they looking for?

Applicants must have experience of a similar position with excellent customer service and support skills. You must have good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office applications and databases. The successful candidate will also have good written and excellent oral communication skills, a good team ethic is also essential. Candidates should note that they will be expected to travel across the South West region to organise events often out of normal office hours. They may also be asked to attend occasional meetings in Birmingham and London.
