This organisation prides themselves on their Grade II listed home, One Great George Street and their staff offices at 8 Storey's Gate. They are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within their Maintenance team to ensure that their premises and facilities are in optimum condition to meet the needs of all their members, customers and employees. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will principally be responsible for carrying out ppm routines including servicing of AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors, etc, in accordance with manufacturers recommendations & procedures to ensure their facilities are in the best possible condition.

Duties and responsibilities

- To ensure that their prestigious venue including function rooms and their office accommodation are maintained in a suitable condition for internal/external customers to use.
- To carry out mechanical repairs, maintenance and installation in order to meet the requirements of customers, members and staff.
- To maintain good communication and working relationships with external contractors.
- Carry out ppm routines including servicing of AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors, etc, in accordance with manufacturers recommendations & procedures.
- To ensure the 1st line repair and maintenance of all non-electrical equipment.
- To monitor and ensure efficient operation of the BMS system.
- To work with and effectively monitor outside contractors.
- Perform any other duties required for the success of the group.
- To manage resources and expenditure to achieve the best value for money.

What are they looking for?

They are looking for an individual with significant experience in mechanical installation and repairs within a commercial building environment. Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in a Mechanical or HVAC discipline and a relevant CSCS card.

This position demands excellent communications skills and the ability to be diplomatic and client focused. Applicants should also be familiar with standard computer packages and have experience of BMS software.
