This is an opportunity to join a successful and rapidly growing full service marketing company. They provide marketing services, creative design/branding, websites, print and exhibition graphics. Separately they market their print services, cardboard packaging manufacturing and print finishing to trade customers. They also own Allan and Bertram Calendars who manufacture an exceptional range of business promotional calendars. All of this needs to be promoted as part of a strategic marketing campaign.

The Role

This is an exciting, varied and challenging role as you will have responsibility for leading the team to deliver their own marketing but also provide marketing services for their growing client base.

The marketing function of the Group is currently the youngest and smallest part of the organisation with just one marketing executive - they are looking for growth and the right person to lead that growth.

The right candidate will be an enthusiastic, ambitious and experienced senior marketing manager with the skills to lead and grow our marketing team. Initially, with such a small team, this will be very much a hands on role.

As a company, they must lead by example and be able to demonstrate to their clients that marketing works by showing what they do and how they deliver a return on investment through their marketing strategy. Their clients are generally SMEs and rely on their support, advice and guidance to deliver successful marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

- You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director
- To plan and implement their own marketing strategies with clear reporting showing measurable results.
- To present our marketing services to potential new clients
- To provide clients with clear marketing strategies and then implement these across all relevant channels.
- To share knowledge with their clients in seminars, workshops and webinars
- To recruit additional members to the team as required and as the business grows.
- To work closely with our own creative studio to ensure brand consistency.

Skills

- A sound knowledge of marketing strategy and reporting clear, measurable results with a minimum of five years experience of which at least three years agency experience.
- A strong understanding of search engine optimisation, html marketing and social media marketing
- An understanding of media engagement to secure editorial coverage in both local media and relevant trade/industry media
- The ability to present to clients both in pitches and seminars/workshops
- A sound understanding of the importance of market research and perceptions of brand values
- A team leader and a team player.
- A creative thinker and someone who is prepared to try innovative approaches.
- Strong content writing skills.
