This company is an established specialist distributor of access control and door entry products. They have gained a reputation over the past 20 years for providing outstanding customer service and built a loyal customer base. They sell a wide range of manufacturers' products B2B to UK installers and maintenance companies. Due to growth they now require a Business Development Executive to join their team.

The Business Development Executive will identify and convert prospects into customers. The objective is to change customers buying habits to meet sales targets and increase revenue and establish good rapport with the new customers. There is no requirement to travel in the role. The successful applicant is likely to have a background in selling technical products.

Key responsibilities

- Drive lead generation
- Convert prospects into new accounts
- Oversee the successful on-boarding of new clients and influence change in their buying habits.
- Build strong relationships quickly/ensure they deliver outstanding customer service to new accounts.

Business Development Executive skills requirements

- Background or strong interest in technical products
- Proven track record of sales in a pre-dominantly sales environment
- Strong commercial acumen
- Motivated by success and resilient and determined
- Well organised and able to managed their time well
- A good team player


- Basic Salary £22,000 - £25,000 (DOE) + OTE
- Monday - Friday - 0830 - 1730
- 31 days' holiday per annum (including bank) increases a further 2 days with service
- Pension
- Free onsite parking

It is expected that the ideal person will be based within a commutable distance of the Northampton Round Spinney area.
