Graduate Recruitment Consultant

Interview date:  24 January 2018

Our Careers and Employability Service provides information, advice and guidance to students and graduates on choosing the right career and promotes a wide range of volunteering, part-time and graduate opportunities. We also support students who want to set up their own business and run a large number of events, workshops and skills sessions with employers.

In the Recruitment Team, the primary role of the Graduate Recruitment Consultancy is to offer a recruitment service to businesses, and to work with students and graduates to secure suitable employment opportunities.

Working closely with local SMEs, and some national employers, the Graduate Recruitment Consultant, will be building relationships with new employers, negotiating and agreeing fees, and providing a client centred recruitment service that will include the shortlisting of candidates, arranging interviews and providing feedback.

Sourcing students and graduates for graduate roles and supporting them through the recruitment process is an important part of the role together with working with a wide range of support and academic staff.

The Graduate Recruitment Consultant is responsible for growing employment opportunities in key sectors, and expanding the reach of the service with businesses, and our students and graduates.

Successful applicants will have excellent communication and customer service skills, be results-oriented with enthusiasm, energy and initiative. Previous experience of business development or sales is essential, and experience within a recruitment environment is preferred.

For an informal and confidential discussion please contact Sally Nicolson, Employer Engagement Officer on 023 92842702, or Anna Wood, Student Employment, Enterprise and Opportunities Manager on 023 92846217.

Candidates will be asked to provide a presentation and will complete a desk based exercise, as well as undertake an interview.
