£10 - £13/hr Negotiable (experience based)

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a long-established family run Property Business. This is a role centred round supporting the Lettings Manager and Property Management team. The position requires:

 
  • Competent User of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Someone who is highly organised and who can work well under pressure
  • You will have good interpersonal, spelling and grammar skills.
  • Provide general administrative duties and support to the property and management team
  • Act as first point of contact for incoming queries. Proactively manage and handle all direct customer contact/correspondence (telephone calls, emails etc) in a timely manner
  • Experience of reviewing, developing and implementing administrative procedures
  • Establish and maintain efficient office administration procedures
  • Co-ordinate property inspections for Property Managers, Surveyors, and Insurers etc. and also compile and record property inspection reports.
  • Instruct maintenance works outside of service contract ensuring that tenants are updated.
  • Pursue and obtain estimates from contractors in a timely fashion ensuring that tenants are kept fully updated.
  • Arrange appointments and liaise with tenants, contractors, professionals etc.
  • To engage with and communicate with letting agents regarding new tenancies, ensuring keys in place, gas certificate supplied, works completed.
  • Handle check out reports, deposit releases and management of tenantsduring this process.
  • Produce Tenancy contracts
  • Continuously look for areas of improvement
  • Ability to use initiative and exercise judgement when required
  • Must have a flexible approach to hours worked
  • Bookkeeping experience is an advantage especially if you have experience with Quickbooks
  • Legal experience is an advantage
  • Must be highly organised and be able to manage a diary effectively
  • Hours: 4 days a week 9.30-3.30pm- hours and days are flexible for the right candidate
  • Salary is £10ph to £13ph negotiable and depends on experience
  • You must be willing to “muck in” as necessitated by a small business and be prepared to work in a small office environment and to work alone.

You will receive training in all aspects of the property industry. Although previous property industry experience is not necessary, experience gained in a professional customer service environment is vital.
