Festival of Chichester
This is a new voluntary position supporting the work of the Festival of Chichester Committee. The Committee comprises seven members (including five Trustees) and is responsible for planning, organising and promoting the annual Festival of Chichester throughout the local area. The Festival is now approaching its fifth year. It has grown to a programme of around 200 events which take place during a four week period during June and July each year. The Committee meets around ten times a year to discuss and agree the plans for the annual Festival and to take strategic decisions for the future. The Festival of Chichester has recently achieved charitable status and needs a secretary to support the work of the Committee and to liaise with the Charity Commission where necessary. The successful candidate will have experience in minute taking and will be proficient in word-processing and electronic communications. Good organisational skills and strong communication skills are also required. An interest in the arts is desirable.
