We require friendly and caring individuals with Full UK driving licences, held for 3 years or more, to join our team. You will be helping our residents to access the local community, and assist them while out on trips. You will also transport those who visit the home for day care, and transport staff and goods between our homes. A background in care would be useful, but full training is provided.
You will be joining a team that delivers high quality person-centred care to people living with dementia. An integral part of this, and central to your role, is ensuring that residents are able to access the local community at all times.
To achieve this, you will transport residents and staff on trips to places of interest, accompanying and assisting them for the duration of the trip. You will also transport residents who visit the home for day care, helping them in and out of the car and to and from their destination. Another part of your role will involve taking staff to work from a central location and back again, and occasionally between our homes.
In addition to these tasks you may also undertake trips for hospital appointments, to collect food shopping orders and other goods, to dispose of household waste and recycling, and to post letters and parcels. As such you will be expected to maintain accurate records, adhere to company policy on vehicle use, and perform basic safety checks and cleaning of vehicles you use.
We require dedicated applicants with a professional attitude, and that special caring quality that sets them apart from the rest.
We strongly believe in developing the skills of our staff and offer an extensive range of training courses.
Full, clean, UK licence – held for three years
