LOCATION: March (Near Peterborough), Cambridgeshire 
JOB TITLE: Care Assistant / Support Worker 
SALARY & BENEFITS: From £7.50 - £7.70 per hour dependent on qualifications plus benefits and great training and development opportunities 
WORKING HOURS: Various – Full Time Days and Nights available – 3x 12 Hour Shifts totalling 36 hours per week – will require alternate working weekends 

THE COMPANY: Our client based in March, Cambridgeshire, on the edge of Doddington Village between Peterborough and Cambridge, provide specialist care for the very young to the elderly. They offer day visits, a rehab centre and hydro therapy pool, respite and continuing long-term support, both within their community village or at home, and support people with a range of different needs.

Due to continue successful growth they now seek committed and caring Care Assistant / Support Workers to join their existing friendly, caring, and passionate team. NVQ Level 3 candidates can be trained up to Assistant Practitioner level. 

THE ROLE: As a Care Assistant / Support Worker you will be responsible in providing companionship and support to residents and to cater to a range of individual care needs. You will socialise, engage and build effective relationships with the residents as well as assisting with any day-to-day personal living requirements. You will actively contribute as a team member towards delivering high quality support and assistance as needed to meet the clients’ needs.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Care Assistant / Support Workers role must be a naturally empathetic and caring person who is motivated and enthusiastic about helping people. Candidates will ideally have previous experience or hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification), however this is not essential as for the right candidate full training will be provided. It is essential candidates live within commutable distance to March and be committed to working alternate weekends. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Care Assistant / Support Workers role :-

Must be a caring and empathetic person committed to on job training and qualifications offered
Candidates with NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care desirable
Must be have communication skills – both written and spoken
Ability to be flexible and work alternate weekends on a rota basis is essential 
Must live within or be able to March, (near Peterborough) Cambridgeshire
