Domestic Abuse Practitioners – Peterborough Children’s Services
£23,428 – £30,448 pa (dependent on experience)
Full Time, Permanent
Two experienced Practitioners are required to work within the Peterborough Family Safeguarding Teams to provide high quality interventions to families at high risk of domestic abuse. This will include working with victims and those in crisis to support them to be able to live safely and free from violence.
You will support victims of domestic abuse, help them to recognise domestic abuse and support them to make changes to safeguard their family.
You will need to provide practical and emotional support to victims of domestic abuse and their children working within appropriate professional guidelines and legislation and contribute to a plan for a family to manage and evaluate risk.
Knowledge and relevant experience of working with victims of domestic violence is essential together with extensive experience of sensitively assessing and responding to the needs and risks of victims of domestic violence.
This contract is due to expire on 31 August 2019.
