This Kent-based practice is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team and assist with their growing client portfolio. You will be managing up to 25 client accounts, mostly SMEs, and will be the first point of contact, ensuring tasks are up to date using various cloud-based accounting software. This is a work-from-home position.

Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- Level 4 AAT qualified with at least two years' experience, or considerable experience in a full-time bookkeeping role with a strong understanding of double entry and cloud-based accounting software
- Highly motivated with a polite, patient, bright personality
- Razor-sharp attention to detail
- Confident and comfortable working independently
- Confident to converse with potential, new and existing clients over phone, email and in-person
- Proficient in the English language with strong IT skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable multi-tasking and hopping between multiple clients on a regular basis
- Confident using Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks

Daily tasks include:
- New client sign-ups
- Providing retrospective bookkeeping services
- Providing client care (answering questions by phone/email)
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Processing payroll
- Submitting VAT returns
- Posting journal entries and corrections
- Bank payments
- Maintaining cashflows
- Assisting senior bookkeeper with ad-hoc tasks as required
- Gift Aid claims
- Prepping annual returns and liaising with accountants
