Chef De Partie - The Aviator Hotel

Sywell Aerodrome Ltd, a local privately owned company is looking to recruit a Chef de Partie for the Aviator Hotel. The Hotel has 50 bedrooms with a large conference and event facility in Hangar One.

We are looking for a professional Chef de Partie who has bags of stamina and enjoys the fast pace of working in a kitchen. You also need to be able to stay calm and work as part of a team during a frenetic service. As head of your section you need to be confident enough to manage the commis chefs working with you - and to give them clear instructions


  • Hourly paid, so paid for every hour worked
  • Holiday (28 inclusive of bank holidays)

  • Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available
  • Follow the guidance of the Head or Sous chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
  • Put effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices
  • No accommodation.
