LOCATION: York, North Yorkshire 
JOB TITLE: Part Time Receptionist
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary dependent on experience plus pension, free eye test, employment assistance programme and a friendly working environment 
WORKING HOURS: Part Time – Monday to Thursday 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Friday 12:45pm to 4:45pm, plus Full Time cover the other Receptionist.

THE COMPANY: Our client is a well established, leading Chartered Accountancy firm with offices in Goole, Pontefract, York & Selby. With expert advisors across all aspects of accountancy they are specialists in dealing with a range of businesses and individual commissions.

Due to the continued success of the company, our client is now looking to recruit a well organised Part Time Receptionist / Office Assistant to join the expanding team at their office in York, North Yorkshire.

THE ROLE: An excellent new opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Receptionist to join our client’s Accountancy firm in York. The key purpose of this position will be split into 2 functions; One side of the role will see you responsible for working on Reception and will answer and handle any incoming enquiries in professional and prompt manner and you will also spend your time assisting and supporting the office and teams with a range of general office and administrative duties and providing cover for the Administrative Assistant. This would be a great role for someone who is flexible in their approach to work, enjoys a varied day and someone who has a 'can do' attitude. 

Key Responsibilities for the Part Time Receptionistrole in York, North Yorkshire include:

- Answering the telephone and greeting visitors in a polite and professional manner
- Cover for post duties as and when required
- Administrative duties and other office tasks as required
- Provide sickness and absence cover 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Part Time Receptionist role must be educated to at least a GCSE (or equivalent qualification) in English and must have previous experience in a customer facing or client facing role and must have an excellent polite manner about you. You will be an excellent communicator and enthusiastic person with a smart appearance and be able to work well with a range of colleagues and clients. You must have good keyboard skills and be IT literate with experience using Microsoft Word and it is essential candidates are well organised, and have a good level of common sense. Due to the tasks related to this role such as requiring occasional travel to carry out banking or post duties it is essential candidates have a valid UK Driving Licence and use of their own vehicle. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Part Time Receptionist role :-

- Educated to at least GCSE C standard (or equivalent qualification) in English
- Previous experience in an customer facing based role essential 
- Good keyboard and IT skills essential 
- Experience using Microsoft Word
- Smart appearance, good communication and skills and professional telephone manner essential
- Must have valid UK Driving Licence, use of own vehicle and live within commutable distance to York, North Yorkshire.
