This is a 12 month temporary post, in the first instance. Start date: 19th February 2018 (or as soon as possible).
Ideally coming from a social care and/or counselling background, as our ideal candidate you will allow us to strengthen the support we are able to offer to our KS3 and KS4 disadvantaged pupils. You will be expected to develop links with pupils and their families by conducting home visits, provide in-class support for those who may be underachieving in the core subjects of Maths, English and Science but are not identified as having Special Educational Needs, offer 1:1 intervention, counselling and mentoring, supervise our inclusion unit and intervention room and offer small group work and targeted breakfast, lunchtime and after-school clubs. You may also be asked to provide resources for pupils and attend all appropriate meetings and training events.
At Parklands we aim to deliver an outstanding and exceptional educational experience to our student community.
