This is an opportunity to join a small, independent and innovative mapping company.

They offer a wide range of mapping services and products across a number of brands. The company is currently experiencing substantial growth making it an exciting place to work. They have a small team of 20+ people and they pride themselves in having a small company environment with larger company ambitions.

They have a 50 year history, a strong and growing brand name and we are showing consistent revenue growth.

The role is based in Long Hanborough, 5 miles north of Oxford within walking distance of Hanborough rail station.

The role encompasses the following areas:

General Finance and Accounting
- Currency management and exchange rates (spot contracts and forward selling)
- Currency revaluations (monthly)
- Bank reconciliations x 5 (Sterling, Euro and USD)
- Barclaycard/Amex posting
- Paypal adjustments and reconciliations
- Cash Flow forecast and Cash Book when Finance Assistant isn't in
- Nominal cash book posting
- Payment run preparation and authorisation (Barclays and World First)
- Credit checks and Credit control

VAT
- Vat reconciliation
- NOTHS invoice preparation for VAT calculation
- MI Invoice preparation for VAT calculation
- UK VAT Return

- Posting of all journals
- Accruals and prepayments
- Groupon SOC
- Groupon Invoicing
- Amazon accruals
- LJ Cost Accruals
- BS reconciliations x 8 (FA, Accruals, Prepayments, Debtors, Creditors, Payroll, Petty Cash, Pension)
- SL & PL
- Back up for Finance Assistant
- P&L cost analysis

Reporting
- Management Accounts (monthly) and attendance of monthly management meetings
- EC Sales Lists and Intrastat
- EU VAT return preparation reports for EU VAT accountant (5 countries)
- Year end accounts preparation and communication with accountant/accounts check/corporation tax
- P11D's information gathering
- Monthly sales figure report

Other
- Manage payroll and liaise with payroll outsourcing company
- Management of Finance Assistant
- Stock control - twice weekly updates plus quarterly stock counts
- HR - to include issue of contracts and monitoring holiday and sick days
- Manage renewal's for Insurance, Healthcare etc.
- System shut down (monthly and annually)
- Any other adhoc duties

Qualified to CIMA PQ - Management level completed or demonstrable equivalent experience
