LOCATION: Portsmouth

JOB TITLE: Admissions Registrar 

SALARY & BENEFITS: £26,844 per annum

WORKING HOURS: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a leading co-educational school located in the historic heart of Portsmouth.

THE ROLE: As a Admissions Registrar, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of the
admissions process.

Key duties for the role of Admissions Registrar - 

• Administration of all aspects of the admissions process, including interviews, entrance assessments, bursary and scholarship applications.
• Management of scholarship applications, including liaison with the relevant Heads of Department to ensure that timescales are met.
• Management of bursary applications in liaison with the Bursar.
• To oversee the school tours process for prospective parents.
• Assist in organising a regular programme of Open Afternoons and other special events for prospective families.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful Admissions Registrar will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have the ability to develop a positive relationship with prospective parents and pupils, manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.You must live within a commutable distance to Portsmouth.

Key experience essential for the role of Admissions Registrar:- 

• IT and database management skills
• Confident use of Excel and database packages
• Confident handling of enquiries by telephone, email and in person
• Flexibility required to work some Saturdays on our Open Morning and to support the prospective pupil interviews and assessments
