Our client, an international business in the Mansfield area, is now looking to recruit an experienced, Packing Warehouse and Dispatch Manager (WITH SAP EXPERIENCE) to join the team This is a practical based role, and is integral to the smooth running of their business. The successful candidate will have ownership and accountability for the warehouse and packing department including 30 Operatives. They will need to take total control of your own workload to meet day to day production deadlines, along with managing and checking the finish and quality of goods before they leave the premises. They will be responsible for achieving key KPI’s and working with customers / sales to implement continuous improvements in packing specifications. Main Duties: • To manage packaging resource plan and ensure its delivery to plan • To ensure that all relevant parties are aware of, and deliver against, the work schedule • Take responsibility for the operational training and induction or operatives and contractors • Oversee front line delivery of new product introductions within the Packaging department • Utilise problem solving techniques, team building strategies, process control and continuous improvement tools to meet and exceed the facilities KPI's • Organise work flows, improve and develop SOP's • Basic packing and wrapping and quality control • Input and update mass metal movement • Monitoring and replenishing packing stock levels Person Specification, Qualifications & Experience: • Management experience in a packaging, goods in, goods out or similar manufacturing environment • Experience of SAP, MOVEX, or equivalent system • Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel etc.) • Strong leadership traits and be competent in people management • Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies • Able to manage own work load, prioritise and complete tasks accurately within time scales • A high level of ownership for the performance of the work involved • Must be able to handle sudden variation planned work load • The ability to maintain deadlines whilst working under pressure • Experience in fostering and maintaining a culture of health & safety • Forklift / Counterbalance license – desirable This job was originally posted as www.jobsite.co.uk/job/960191374
