Gleeson are currently working with a global logistics organisation who are recruiting for a qualified Finance Manager (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) based in Chorley, Lancashire. Main responsibilities and accountabilities Leading and managing the finance team and being responsible for their objectives and development Reporting Ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of: Client weekly and monthly results Client budgeting and forecasting Meaningful and informative client reporting packs Internal monthly results process Internal budgeting and forecasting Client and internal adhoc reporting as and when required To fully understand the logistics operation and its processes and the interactions those processes have with the financial results To be able to clearly articulate to the client the financial costs of the operation, the root cause of any variances and the implication of any changes to the operating processes Financial control Maintain tight cost control for the client, both in respect of the ongoing operational performance and a number of continuous improvement projects Maintain tight financial control, including understanding the contractual and commercial arrangements with the client Creation, review and presentation of internal and client budgets and forecasts Monthly cashflow forecasts Controlling site specific suppliers, along with purchase orders and managing purchase invoices and expense claim signoffs Ensuring sales invoices are raised accurately and on time People interaction To be a committed and driven member of the finance team, reporting to the Consumer Sector Finance Manager To form a strong relationship with the General Manager for the contract and day-to-day work as part of their site operating leadership team, providing financial and commercial support and insights Regular interaction with the Clients key stakeholders, being able to inspire confidence in the reported financial results Leading and presenting at the client weekly and monthly finance review meetings including a detailed understanding and explanation of the results to the Clients key stakeholders Presentation of budgets and forecasts to the client Reporting results with client and ensuring any invoice queries are resolved quickly Be part of the site operations team, providing commercial support and insights Experience Qualified accountant, able to translate strong technical expertise into practical application Commercial and operational experience and strong background of delivery Ability to provide credible support to non-finance areas of the business Ability to operate at all levels within an organisation from boardroom to shopfloor Strong team player but also happy to work independently on own initiative Excellent organisational skills Experience in retail and logistics environments If you are an experienced Finance Manager (ACCA,CIMA,ACA) with Logistics or Manufacturing experience and looking for a role that offers not only a great salary and career progression within a recognised top employer but also flexible working hours please do get in touch.
