TM Resourcing (Technical & Engineering) are proudly working on behalf of a well-known manufacturing group who predominantly produce components for the Aerospace industry. Our client has been in business for over 40 years, since their establishment, they have developed a formidable reputation for producing quality machined parts and structural assemblies. We are now on the lookout for a CNC Turner (Setter) to join the company and set and run their fixed head Miyano & Citizen sliding head CNC turning centres. Key Responsibilities: Able to set Miyano Fixed Head and Citizen Cimcon Sliding Head Machines Read, understand and examine engineering drawings and specifications to determine appropriate method, sequence of operations and machine setting Select and fix work-holding devices and appropriate cutting, shaping, and/or forming tools and tips Set machine controls (Fanuc) for rotation speeds, depth of cut and stroke, and adjust bar feed, stops and guides Repositions workpiece, change tools and reset machine as necessary during production run Instruct operator on the safe and correct method of operation of the machine Self-inspect to customer required tolerances Accurately select tooling, use measuring equipment Work in accordance to the standards required by the company and their customers Problem solve and work often on own initiative Carry out regular coolant and oil level checks Continue to help/improve work environment and carry out housekeeping duties in line with 5S Ideal Candidate: Apprentice trained Minimum of 4 years' experience as a CNC Turner/Setter DESIRBALE: Miyano Fixed Head & Citizen Sliding Head Experience Able to communicate effectively with colleagues Accurate with great attention to detail Polite & courteous with colleagues Capable of working safely and efficiently Self-motivated with a can do attitude Willingness to learn and develop further Package: Working Hours: Days and Night work available Hourly Rate: Subject to ability and quality of workmanship (Bracket: £12-18 per hour This job was originally posted as
