NHS Wakefield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is committed to commissioning quality services and is at the forefront of the development of many leading pieces of work that are transforming healthcare and will deliver excellent services.
We are looking to appoint a new Lay Member (Audit). In addition to the general responsibilities of all Governing Body Members, you’ll lead on key elements of governance including audit, remuneration, and conflict of interest matters as the Conflict of Interest Guardian.
Your role will ensure that the Governing body and wider CCG behaves with the utmost probity at all times. You will chair the CCGs Audit Committee and be expected to attend other committees to observe.
We are looking for an exceptional and flexible individual able to represent the interests of the people of Wakefield.
If you are interested in this exciting role, you will need to demonstrate a range of competencies and skills including strategic thinking, leadership, organisational transformation, excellent communication to offer purposeful, constructive scrutiny and challenge, and the ability to build effective working relationships with others. It is essential that you develop strong working relationships with the Chair, Chief Officer and other members of the Governing Body.
The tenure of the role is three years. This is a demanding role and we are looking for a flexible, high level commitment at least a minimum of four days per month which may include evening engagements. Remuneration is £13,000 pa.
