JOB TITLE: Estate Maintenance Assistant 

LOCATION: Northampton, Northamptonshire

SALARY & BENEFITS: £17,244 - £17,966 per annum. NSB Support Staff Scale, range point 13-15 dependent on experience. 

WORKING HOURS: Full Time and permanent, 37 hours per week. Contracted times will initially be 2:00pm – 10:30pm Monday to Thursday and 2:30pm – 10:30 on Friday and will also include some weekend working as required.

Flexibility of working hours is required for this role and the ability to respond to the school’s needs is vital.

THE COMPANY: Our client is an 11-18 state funded single sex boys’ school. Girls are admitted to the Sixth Form. Their academic performance at both GCSE and at A Level is consistently outstanding and their students excel academically in comparison to all other students nationally both in terms of progress and attainment. We are now seeking an Estate Maintenance Assistant to join their Estate team within the school in Northampton, Northamptonshire. 

THE ROLE: To be a key member of the Estates Team and assist the Estates Manager and Deputy Estates Manager in the daily security, maintenance and upkeep of the school estate. To be responsible for supporting the Estates Manager and Deputy Estates Manager in the delivery of a high-quality service, maintaining the premises and the environment to the highest standard.

Ensuring the security of the building at all times
Completing other duties and maintenance tasks as and when required

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Estate Maintenance Assistant role will be personable, energetic and a practical skilled person.

Essential criteria for the Estate Maintenance Assistant role in Northampton, Northamptonshire:

Must live within a commutable distance to Northampton, Northamptonshire
Must have previous experience in a maintenance role
Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check 

Desirable criteria for the Estate Maintenance Assistant role in Northampton, Northamptonshire:

Having previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage 
Having any qualifications relevant to this role would be an advantage
