Careers and Progression Adviser
We are seeking a Careers & Progression Adviser who will work as a member of a wider team responsible for supporting students' decisions on their progression opportunities. The post holder will be responsible for delivering elements of the College's careers strategy, with a particular focus on support for students who are aiming to progress into non-university opportunities. An important part of the role will be to establish links with teaching staff and to encourage the development of careers learning within students' academic courses.
Relevant experience is essential. The could come from previous work in a careers adviser role but could also arise from work as a teacher or in a student centred support role. You will need to be confident in group and one-to-one interactions, demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, have an understanding of the need to maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students and the ability to work with sensitivity and humour. You will also need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
This is a part-time 25 hours per week, term-time only plus one additional week, and will include attendance from A level results day onwards. The hous of work are Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 3.00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day.
The salary is between £10,645 - £13,209 per annum, depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
