Property Manager - Hard FM - Healthcare - Max ??45k - London/South East

Salary: ??40,000 - ??45,000 plus benefits

Location: Home-based south of Birmingham. Clients are around Essex and North London.


A leading UK provider of FM support services requires a facilities management professional for their healthcare infrastructure division. They are seeking a Property Manager whose FM experience is predominantly Hard FM services and includes healthcare to assist them with estates management for a healthcare property portfolio in London and the South East. The position is home-based with travel to client sites in the south of England as necessary.


The essential experience required for this role is as follows:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Facilities Management Estates Management, the vast majority of which must have been Hard FM
  • Healthcare Experience, specifically Public Sector Healthcare Estates Management
  • Experience in managing a group of professional, technical and administrative staff
  • Professional and technical skills associated with provision of site and facilities management
  • Proficient in computer software including, but not limited to, the MS Office suite.
  • Mobile: Working away from home periodically.

The contract is for the provision of hard FM services, hence the emphasis on experience in hard FM (If you've only ever managed catering and cleaning in hospitals, I'm afraid you won't be suitable!). The role is about 98% hard FM, 2% soft services. This is for a total of 25 LiftCo buildings in North London and Essex, specifically Barking, Dagenham, Havering, Camden, Islington and Barnet.

The crux of the role is to successfully manage FM service delivery in accordance with KPIs set out in the prevailing MSA agreement. This would consist of managing the delivery of facilities management engineering and building maintenance services through appointed providers. You would be the primary contact for engineering service matters pertaining to the operation of the buildings belonging to the various LIFTCos.


In this role you would be reporting to the Estate and Building Performance Manager. As regards further prospects from this position, the career path from here would be to step up into that position: The next step here career-wise is to move up into the Estate and Building Performance Manager position.
