This highly professionally run hotel is now seeking a Wedding and Events
Co-ordinator to oversee this important sector of the business.

The hotel is located just 2 miles from Ipswich and is a hotel that is built around a 16th century hunting lodge and set in it's own grounds.

Salary £23,000 to £25,000

It has very good function and events facilities as well as an excellent spa.

The main focus of the role will be the sales bias. You will deal directly with customers conducting showrounds and marketing the events and wedding sector.


1. Identify potential opportunities at the local level and create campaigns to capitalize on those opportunities.

2. Manage all aspects of the event planning process, including collaboration with subcontractors, venue identification, menu development, printing and design of materials and budget tracking.

3. Collaborate with Front Office, F&B, Kitchen, Engineering and Housekeeping within the hotel and as well as local community groups.

4. Attend community functions to network and identify potential opportunities

5. Create summary reports of each event outlining how data gathered from current community events can be used to develop successful future events

6. Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives

7. Creating and managing a detailed budget is often a key component of event planning.

8. Event Managers are responsible for producing an outline of the event's needs. This outline includes such details as meeting space, lodging for guests, food and drink accommodations, telecommunications, audio-visual needs and transportation. Event coordinators also draw up a contract for the client to sign, spelling out all of the details agreed upon.

9. Liaise with the Marketing Department to Lead promotional activities for the event.
