Financial Controller - £45K Excellent Benefits
We are working exclusively with our market leading manufacturing client based in Bridgend to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance as well as providing key business support. Key Responsibilities Monthly reporting including monthly accounts with rolling forecasts, detailed commentary and variance analysis on actual results to forecasts and budget. Responsible for co-ordinating and collating budgets, including the calculation of associated product costing, gross margin and headcount analysis. Review and reporting of the overheads of the business unit with a view to driving down expenditure, identifying and driving productivity improvements. Provide relevant financial data monthly and present analysis of key contracts to the Management Team. Provide support in preparation for presentations; Quarterly reviews, Annual Plan reviews and Mid-Year reviews. Provide financial and general business support to the Management Team. Develop reporting of WIP in a timely, but accurate manner. Ensure the integrity of financial data along with ensuring the systems and associated reports meet business requirements. Support the Finance Director and finance team with year-end and liaise with auditors. Review of Bids and Capex projects. Management of Finance Assistant. Review and approval of Purchase requisitions, along with invoice approvals. Responsible for Cycle Counting administration and Stock Accuracy. Key Skills Qualified Accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent. Confident communicator across all levels of the organisation; good general communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Highly organised with the ability to operate to tight timescales and pro-active; able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines with the ability to self-manage workload. Sound and logical judgement with the highest levels of business ethics and integrity. Excellent numerical and written attention to detail. Strong computer skills including Intermediate/Advanced Excel. Previous manufacturing experience essential and knowledge of MRP preferred. Motivated and enthusiastic. Ability to work as part of a team but also manage non-direct reports. Willingness to take on a variety of tasks. Drive and energy combined with ambition.
