Concern Group is one of the largest non-statutory providers of mental health services in England. The Group is made up of Mental Health Concern, Insight Healthcare and various projects and partnerships that are all focussed around our mission which is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the people we serve. The Group has a strong presence in the North of England and has developed a range of services nationwide. We are primarily commissioned by the NHS and local authorities and provide innovative, specialist mental health, primary care and well-being services. We are now seeking an Information Governance Officer to help the Group in achieving our strategic objectives and to support us through an exciting time of change and development. The Role
Reporting to the Governance and Quality Manager, the post holder will be responsible for information governance (IG) services including records management across Concern Group. They will contribute to the development of key areas of Concern Group’s risk management arrangements, thereby building a culture of continuous improvement and carrying out processes to measure and further improve quality. The role will work closely with the Governance and Quality Manager, clinicians and managers throughout Concern Group, to ensure compliance with statutory IG responsibilities, including the General Data Protection Regulations. You will be experienced in designing, developing and maintaining information management systems and will have demonstrable knowledge of information governance principles and practice, with a sound understanding of current information governance issues and best practice, ideally within the health and social care sector.
You will have experience of writing policies, procedures and guidance for practice use and knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations with the ability to effectively develop, implement and promote new GDPR processes, procedures and guidance to ensure compliance.What we offer in return
