An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Data Analyst to join a Financial Services Company based in Bromley, Kent. Role Reporting to the Data Reporting Manager, the Finance Data Analyst will assist in the analysis and delivery of data to end users throughout the business. The role will involve testing and developing new and existing reporting models, maintaining the integrity of large databases and supporting the key deliverables of the business unit, helping to contribute towards KPI. Responsibilities - To analyse data, develop models and test. - Provide timely and accurate, regular and ad hoc reports for the company. - Analysing data via MS Excel, SQL and other BI tools - Perform testing and reconciliation between applications - Managing, maintaining and developing complex financial models as a part of a regular reporting process - Help identify areas to improve processes and reporting, not just within the team but across the company as a whole - Document new processes and procedures for internal and FCA regulatory purposes Department The Data Reporting team provide and develop financial and trading reporting to the Finance department, Managers and Directors across the group. The Data Reporting team is responsible for managing all data for all trading across the group, transforming and delivering this to users at all levels of the business. The team works closely with other areas of the business in order to identify efficiencies and to provide tools to help in making business critical decisions. What's In Your DNA?? The Finance Data Analyst will be analytical and have excellent attention to detail. You should have the ability to communicate well, both verbally and written. You should also have a passion for data and be quick to learn new concepts. Essential Skills and Experience - Advanced MS Excel skills essential (VBA would be advantageous, but not essential) - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret multiple sources of complex data to draw conclusions, identify trends and anomalies, and derive recommendations - Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentational) - Highly numerate with strong A-level Maths (or similar numerate subjects) - Ability to work collaboratively across project and organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals - Prioritising work in a busy environment - Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and directors - Desirable Skills and Experience - Ability to write queries in SQL - Knowledge of VBA and macros
