PMO Consultant (Financial Services)

A major global technology consultancy business and system integrator is growing its northern hub as a result of further exciting new business wins. The firm has a demand for quality, PMO Consultants to own and run all aspects of PMO processes in support of a particular IT project, programme or business unit.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Operate, and is necessary establish, processes and controls around below areas of Governance
- Planning and progress tracking
- Risk, Issues and Dependency Management
- Change Control
- On-boarding and Off-boarding of resources
- Cost tracking
- Status reports
- Act as a key contact for engagement with client stakeholders, with a focus on Program Management and governance standards
- Make suggestions for improvements to governance processes where appropriate
- Facilitate effective project/programme meetings and follow-up actions

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Experience of working in or leading a PMO function in an IT-driven change environment
- Financial services sector experience
- Understanding of project management life cycles and governance frameworks
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Competent in use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and MS-Project
- Competent in all aspects of Risk, Issue and Dependency management processes
- Competent in all aspects of Change Control processes.
