SF Group are currently recruiting for a Finance Director for a PE backed engineering business in Lincoln. This is a new appointment to the business and is a key member of the Executive Team to support the strategic growth plans. As the Finance Director, you will be part of the Executive team including the CEO, Commercial Director and representatives from the Private Equity House to ensure that all financial matters are managed and prepared, and to provide essential management information and provide the necessary advice on financial matters. Key responsibilities: Management of the company's finances, including responsibility for preparation of all financial accounts, both management and statutory, managing the companies accounts function Work with the Executive Team to achieve the business objectives, and lead, motivate and manage performance. Leadership, supervision and resource the accounts department, IT and HR function Preparation, presentation & representation of finances at Board Level including production of papers and participation in all corporate matters. Preparation of corporate business & strategic plan (projections of trading, cash-flow and balance sheet) Preparation of annual budgets & monitoring their performance; including P & L, balance sheets,cash-flow, overheads and capital expenditure. Production of monthly financial statements and auditing of annual statutory accounts. Management of relationship with Auditors Negotiation & management of banking facilities and relationships, issuance of company guarantees, maintenance of related records and recovery of expired guarantees. Safe keeping of incoming guarantees Management of cash resources, including short term cash forecasts Responsible for overall Internal Control/Risk Management and Systems Evaluation and settlement of CT liability, tax planning and the provision of taxation advice to the Board together with maintenance of systems to record, declare & settle VAT liability & recovery Management of payroll, employment taxation, national insurance, pension contributions & other salary and expense related administration Negotiation of insurance policies, management of all insurance matters and management of relationship with brokers and insurers You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of working at senior/board level within an SME manufacturing, engineering or construction industry. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to influence, and experience of developing relationships with third parties including banks and insurance companies. You will have good process improvement and problem solving skills, and an analytical and enquiring mind.
